Shungite Merkaba — Polished Star Tetrahedron
A shungite merkaba: two three-sided pyramids interlocked into an eight-pointed star, carved from a single block of Karelian shungite and polished. About 48 g.
What you get

- Type III shungite from the Zazhoginsky deposit, Karelia
What a merkaba is
A star tetrahedron — the shape you get when two pyramids with triangular bases pass through each other point-first. Every face is a triangle and every corner is a point, which makes it a harder carve than a pyramid: the internal angles have to be cut clean, and that is why it costs more per gram of stone than a pyramid of the same weight.
What polished shungite looks like
Deep black with a low sheen, and pale marks where pyrite and quartz reach a face — normal, and different on each piece. A merkaba with a perfectly uniform surface is more likely resin. Fingerprints come off with a dry cloth. Lighter than it looks: about half the density of quartz.
Real shungite conducts electricity: tap a phone screen with it and the screen responds as if to a fingertip. Resin and painted stone do nothing. The full test guide is here.
