Shungite Lotus Candle Holder — Carved Tealight Holder

€26,00

Shungite carvings made to be looked at: a lotus candle holder, a polished sphere on a wooden stand, and a limited-edition Year of the Horse figurine. Each is cut from a single block of Karelian shungite.

Shungite candle holder

The shungite lotus candle holder (€26,00) is a carved bowl with petal edges, about 260 g, sized for a standard tealight. It can also be used as an ashtray.

Shungite sphere on a stand

The shungite sphere (€30,50) is carved and polished from one piece of stone to a near-perfect ball, about 220 g, and comes with a matching wooden stand. It is also listed with the pyramids and shapes.

Year of the Horse shungite figurine

A limited-edition carved horse on a stand (€39,50), about 200 g, made for the Year of the Horse. When the run is gone it is not repeated.

What to expect from a carved shungite piece

Shungite is a natural rock with pyrite flecks and quartz veining, so small pale marks are normal and no two carvings are identical. Polished surfaces take fingerprints and give them up again to a dry cloth. A carving with a perfectly uniform, inclusion-free surface is more likely to be resin than stone. The quick check: touch it to a phone screen — real shungite conducts and registers as a tap, resin does not. Here is the full guide.
