Tumbled or raw?
Tumbled stones have been turned with abrasive until the edges round off and the carbon takes a low sheen: they leave nothing on your hands and look finished in a bowl. Raw shungite is the same stone with the fracture faces still on it — matte, dusty for the first few rinses, and the form used for water. For a bowl, a shelf, a desk, a pocket or a windowsill, tumbled is the one most people choose.
